Aistritheoir Eurasia is the successor of Credence Linguists that was founded as a boutique-class translation and interpretation bureau on 30 October 1998 by Prahasto W. Pamungkas, an Indonesian-national jurist and linguist, who obtained a Dutch-style early, primary and secondary education while respecting his Indonesian national tradition.
His higher educational background encompasses a first-law degree (Sarjana Hukum) that he obtained from University of Indonesia and a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in European Law that he obtained from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands. He participated in various Continuing Professional Developments both in Indonesia and internationally, including the in-country Intellectual Property Training Workshop (TW-326E), Jakarta; Development Lawyers Course (DLC-22E), Rome; and Public International Trade Law Course (PITLC-13E), Sydney, organised by the International Development Law Organization.
As a jurist, P.W. Pamungkas is fully admitted to the Indonesian Bar and qualified to appear before all jurisdictions of Indonesian courts and tribunals and licensed to practise Indonesian capital markets law. He is also professionally qualified as Bankruptcy Receiver and Moratorium Administrator and certificated as Court-Annexed Mediator accredited by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London).
Due to his multi-lingual competency, as a linguist, P.W. Pamungkas is qualified to practise as a Sworn Translator of the Dutch, English, French and Indonesian languages, and internationally accredited as Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (London). Being a Fellow (the highest rank of membership of an international organisation of professionals) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, P.W. Pamungkas has enjoyed international reputation as a purveyor of high quality linguistic and translation works. The Chartered Institute of Linguists is an international organisation of linguistic experts and professionals duly established and governed under English law under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent KCVO, and is given a Chartered status by virtue of the British Royal Charter. P.W. Pamungkas possesses a vast and extended experience in various fields as Sworn Translator, Court Room Interpreter, Legal Language Expert Witness and Professional Trainer, and has gained reputation from high-profile individuals, major companies, non-governmental organisations, international organisations, and other law firms.
This Past Private Secretary to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Indonesia to Romania concurrently accredited to the Republic of Moldova is fluent in Dutch, English and French, and has the ability to read Romanian, in addition to Bahasa Indonesia, his native language. He has been designated as International Development Law Organization Intellectual Property Resource Person for Indonesia and, together with other 9 (nine) legal experts, entrusted by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia with the task to prepare the academic draft of the codified Code of Civil Procedures for Indonesia to replace the old Herziene Inlandsch Reglement and Rechtsreglement Buitengewesten.
As academician, he has been teaching on various subjects including International Economic Law, International Trade Law, Business Law and Law of Obligations at the Graduate Schools of Law of 3 (three) major universities in Jakarta since 2000. He has been delivering training workshops that he designs himself on Intellectual Property Law, Corporate Law, Arbitration and ADR, Investment Law, International Contracts, Procurement Law in Oil and Gas Sectors and International Sales of Goods.
